The gang's self-published 'zine is ready to publish, with Betty doing most of the work again. Betty tries to prove to the editors of a newspaper contest that two people can have a five hundred dollar date for under a dollar. Betty is suddenly making up excuses to visit the local plant nursery and it's not because she's suddenly into flowers.
