After licensing issues arose with Panini's Doctor Who Storybook, BBC Books replaced it with an in-house title, Doctor Who The Brilliant Book, which was released in tandem with the BBC's Doctor Who Annual. Each Brilliant Book includes a mixture of features, some written from a real world perspective and some "in-universe", and fiction.
