This series reprints issues #1, 3, 13, and 16 of the original Gold Key series Magnus, Robot Fighter illustrated by the acclaimed Russ Manning between 1963 and 1966.While somewhat less sophisticated in terms of stories, it's worth noting that Valiant founder Jim Shooter deliberately developed his Magnus stories to connect to Manning's.
